Mackail-Smith hoping to get the nod for Scotland
The Albion’s record signing is in the running for a third cap because Cardiff City’s Miller is facing a race against time to be fit for the penultimate Euro 2012 qualifier tomorrow evening.
Miller, who normally operates as a lone striker, suffered a small muscle tear in his groin but the injury has improved all week.

Hide AdEnglish-born Mackail-Smith earned his two caps as a substitute against Brazil and Denmark and is certain he is up to the task of leading the line should he be preferred to Miller or David Goodwillie in attack.
“I feel I’m ready and I’m looking forward to it,” Mackail-Smith told the Scottish Sun. “If Kenny doesn’t make it, hopefully I’ll get the call.
“I feel as if I can go in and do a job for the team. I wouldn’t view it as a gamble if I was picked, not at all. I go out and put everything into the game.”
