Langney extended their unbeaten run in the Premier Division to six games with a stalemate against their high-flying rivals. Despite the scoreline, it was an entertaining game. Both sides threatened throughout and had plenty of chances to score, but neither could find a breakthrough. Speaking after the game, Langney boss Colbran expressed his delight with his side’s performance. He said: “I thought it was a great solid performance in tough conditions, but that was obviously for both sides. “They were in second place and have been winning a lot of games recently, so it showed how far we have come.” Colbran is delighted with how this season has gone for Langney, and is impressed with how his side have performed. He added: “I think the season so far has been excellent. We said when we took over that if we come in the top ten it would be amazing, so we are heading in the right direction. “Considering we have zero budget and we have a lot of teenagers in our side it’s a massive achievement by all concerned.” Langney are away to struggling East Preston on Saturday, but boss Colbran admitted his side will need to be at their best if they are to get a result. He said: “East Preston are in a false position. It’s going to be a really tough game. "We felt that they were one of the best footballing sides we have played at home, so we need to be 100 per cent focused to get anything out of the game. “However, we are on a six-match unbeaten run ourselves so we should be full of confidence.” Colbran will have a few players unavailable for selection heading into this weekend’s game. He added: “We’ve still got a few players out, Mike Gino and Joe Somerbell, who will both hopefully be back in a couple of weeks, and Leon Gravata which sounds like it might be a bit longer than that.”
