Being at home beats a villa for Bosham
Alex Barnes scored a terrific goal to set Walton Lane alight as the Robins moved up the table.
Just five minutes were on the clock when the Reds got the perfect start through Nick Edgington. Louis Bell sent a long ball forward and Edgington controlled it superbly and then slid it under the despairing dives of Aaron Blackwell and keeper Oscar Prado.

Hide AdBosham tails were up and Montpellier Villa were struggling to find their feet.
Liam Downes looked sharp but service was lacking in the final third which allowed Bosham to stay strong at the back and Dave Bryant in particular put in some shuddering tackles to keep the Sky Blues at bay.
After the break, Barnes was showing all his pace to frighten the life out of the visiting defence and Marco Giambelardini showed some examples of his brilliant Italian flare to bemuse the opposition.
Chances came and went and Bosham were made to pay for missed opportunities on the hour when Downes hit a scorching effort to draw Montpellier Villa level. Simon Whitney delivered a dangerous free-kick from the right which Bosham failed to clear effectively and the ball fell at the feet of Downes who took his chance with a stunning effort.

Hide AdBosham went in pursuit of more goals and, late in the game, got their just rewards. Barnes accepted a short corner and after easily beating several defenders unleashed a terrific effort with his left foot that flew into the top corner to restore the Robins’ lead.
The Sky Blues thought they had equalised when Sam Terry was on hand to poke the ball home but a correct offside flag stopped celebrations very quickly, albeit with a few remonstrations of frustration and the game continued.
Several players found their way into referee Andy Hinton’s notebook and Terry saw red for a second yellow before Bosham finally found the decisive third goal.
Barnes showed great skill to work an opening in the box and neatly found Giambelardini, who finished easily.
