IT’S time again to reward some young sporting stars and the people who make them tick.

Nominations are now being sought for Chichester District Council’s Youth Sport and Community Awards – backed by the Observer and the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory.

The awards, now in their 13th year, celebrate the success and hard work of the area’s young sports stars. This year new categories have been added to recognise those members of the community who go the extra mile and those that volunteer or play a supporting role in helping local sport flourish.

This year’s categories are:

* Team of the Year;

* Sporting Volunteer of the Year;

* Community Volunteer of the Year;

* Coach of the Year;

* Young Person’s Commitment to Sport;

* Outstanding Contribution to Sport;

* Community Project of the Year;
