Plenty of sunshine on the way for Sussex
The forecast for the rest of this week is plenty of sunshine and temperatures creeping up from the mid-teens, ready for a glorious weekend.
There could be a bit more cloud bubbling up by Saturday (May 7) but it’s expected that the weekend temperature will be around the mid-20s degC.
And Monday (May 9) is set to remain the same.

The downside to these conditions is that the pollen count is set to remain high and the UV levels rising especially around lunchtime.
The longer-range forecast from the Met Office is that through the second half of May, the most likely scenario is for mixed conditions across all areas at first.
Showers or longer spells of rain will be interspersed with some drier and brighter spells.

Later in the month a subtle change in the weather pattern may lead to cooler and more unsettled conditions across northern and western parts while southern and eastern areas could see longer dry periods develop and warmer temperatures at times.
