Firefighters called to car stranded in flooded village road
Firefighters have been called to a car stranded in floodwater this afternoon.
Four occupants – including children – are said to be inside the vehicle, which got stuck in deep surface water in Litlington Road, Litlington, following the heavy rain on Thursday (March 5).
Crews from Newhaven, Lewes, and Eastbourne were called to the scene just before 3pm today (Friday).

Hide AdAccording to East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, they are using specialised equipment to access the vehicle.
The incident was still ongoing as of 4.15pm.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
