Wendy Ahl, UK operations director, said: “Our free veterinary services for working donkeys, mules and horses in the Palestinian Territories have suffered disruption – the West Bank has had periodic lockdowns and so our veterinary surgeon has not always been able to travel to the towns and villages that so desperately need his help.

“These stalls increase awareness as well as increasing money so we hope to be back out again later this year.
“In the meantime, we are so grateful to everyone who has donated to us.
“We were lucky enough to receive a £5,000 donation just before Christmas from Animal Friends Insurance as part of the proceeds from their staff’s ‘Walk Around the World’ initiative and a £1,000 donation from Ecclesiastical Insurance, both of which have made a huge difference to us.”
