I am proud of the result we achieved here despite being on the losing side. In particular I was pleased by the coming together in common cause of members of at least four political parties. I can only hope that presages the ability for us all to work together in the future to avoid the descent of politics especially at the local level into its previous partisan and tribal ways.
The sadness, and indeed perhaps rage I feel now is that we are now seeing the promises made by the Leave campaign unravelling.
