I would like to thank those electors who voted Labour and me during the general election. We saw an increase in our share of the vote and numbers of people who voted for us.

I met a great many people in Horsham over the past six months, and heard some sad and difficult stories from people who had been unfairly affected by the cuts of the last five years; and sadly more people will suffer under the draconian cuts that will be made by the new Conservative Government.

It was a hard fought campaign in Horsham, by Labour; we listened to your views and concerns, met with many groups such as the anti-fracking and Gatwick groups, took part in all the hustings and met the Rail future group that highlighted Horsham District Council’s lack of response to the railway companies about the housing development in Horsham and the lack of new investment as a result.
