LETTER: Sussex should take refugees
Allowing the derisory number of 350 presumably will alleviate the guilt they must be feeling every time they tuck into a hot meal before retiring to their warm feather beds.
These unfortunate children who ask for nothing more than food and shelter are being abandoned, not just to cold and hunger,

Hide Adbut to the mercy of the evil gangs who will prey on them and expose them to unspeakable degradation, such that no decent human being could even begin to imagine.
The United Kingdom must take its fair share of responsibility and live up to its reputation as a caring society.
Sussex is well placed to take its share, as are most other counties, we have vast estates in this country that provide accommodation for a few very privileged families.
How can Theresa May and our politicians even countenance the government washing its hands of this human tragedy, in so doing innocent children will be condemned to a living hell from which there will be no return.
Shame on us all.
