Link road work can start now
Approval was granted this week by Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin for the controversial development to start.
Under the scheme ESCC will construct a 3.5 mile single carriageway road between the A259 in Sidley and Queensway in St Leonards. As well as improving accessibility between Bexhill and Hastings, the road will allow the development of North East Bexhill – the largest single development site in the area.

It will open up 52,000 sqm of land in North East Bexhill for business development and housing and creating new jobs. The £56.85 million we are putting into this scheme shows that the Coalition Government is serious about investing in the infrastructure the country needs to drive economic growth.”
