Hide AdHelena, 81, suffered a broken hip after a fall last September.
Following a hip replacement at the Conquest Hospital she was transferred to the Irvine Unit.
Helena then had a stroke and has had to stay in hospital until funding is available to make her move home an easy one.
The wedding has been arranged with the agreement of hospital staff. Donald and Helena were divorced in 1990 after 20 years together.
Donald was persistent in winning back his ex-wife:

A registrar will perform the ceremony.
Afterwards a service of prayer will take place in the Irvine Unit, conducted by Father Norman Taylor, of All Saints Church, Sidley.
