A ceremony will be held in Horsham town centre today (November 11) to remember those who have given their lives in conflicts across the globe.

Horsham Branch of the Royal British Legion will hold a short ceremony at the War Memorial in the Carfax for those who wish to remember at the ‘eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month’.

St Mary’s CE Primary School and Arunside Primary School in Horsham will bring pupils to the War Memorial to witness the ceremony.

The council has liaised with the Royal British Legion and both organisations say they very much welcome the opportunity to involve young people in the ceremony, which begins with music from 10.30am.

The Exhortation will be read by Nigel Caplin, chairman, RBL Horsham Branch.
