Donation will help rejuvenate seafront for youths
PCSO Carol Fulcher presented 4th Goring Guides with a cheque for £300, to contribute towards the purchase of a storage shed for the land, on Goring beach.
Managed by charity Go Youth, the land will be open to people of all ages to enjoy and is in the process of being cleared.

Hide AdHeather Fox, of the guides, said: “Go Youth was given a piece of land for the youth of Worthing and we have been given permission to put a shed there to put all our equipment in.
“It is an expensive shed but has been purpose-built. We have done lots of fundraising and are planning more events.
“We are gradually getting the money together.”
The shed will be shared between the guides and Go Youth.
The charity’s chairman, Shirley Robinson-Viney, said the ultimate aim was to totally revamp the land, which had become known as the ‘Dog’s Toilet’, and install toilet facilities to create an all-inclusive area.
She said: “We are going to turn the land into an activity area for anyone from young people to old people who can come and enjoy a cream tea.

“Everyone I have spoken to has said how wonderful the space will be, especially for vulnerable children, as it will all be fenced off and safe.”
