Dog rescued from Selsey house fire
Three crews from Chichester, Selsey and East Wittering were called to the fire at a property in East Street, Selsey, at around 5.30pm yesterday evening.
People were asked to avoid the area, while nearby residents were warned to keep doors and windows closed.

Hide AdNo one was injured in the blaze, but a dog was rescued from the property.
Crews left the scene at 7.10pm.
In a post on Twitter, a fire service spokesman said: “Thankfully there were no injuries as a result of this fire, but our crews were able to rescue a dog from property which was suffering from smoke inhalation.
“Fire is believed to have started accidentally, and our last appliance booked away from the scene at 7.10pm.”
