Hide AdQuilt Show: The Burwash Quilters will be having an exhibition of their work tomorrow and Sunday at the Burwash village hall from 10am until 4pm. Entrance is £5 and includes refreshments. There will be a quilt raffle in aid of Hospice in the Weald. These talented sewers make some amazing quilts. You will be amazed and the quality of their work.
After 8’s: The ladies of the After Eight Club will meet again on Wednesday evening in the Burwash Common Pavilion. Their guest speaker will be women’s rights campaigner Lesley Absela MBE, talking about her life and times from the front lines around the world. From Burwash to Baghdad, Hotel Babylon to the House of Commons, this should surely not be missed. It is guaranteed to be interesting, entertaining and shocking. This is not a political or judgemental statement but one of humanity. The meeting begins at 8pm and guests are welcome to go along.
Cricket: The Burwash Common cricket team have begun net practice on the field by the Pavilion. They are always happy to hear from new palyers, tea makers, scorers, supporters and sponsors. The pitch should be in perfect condition for the start of the new season thanks to the super new lawn mower and those who use it to maintain the field. If interested please call 01435 882117.
