YOUNG people in West Sussex are being encouraged to visit a new website and consider their driving behaviour.
Every day in the county there are five major incidents, of which two involve young drivers.
The website, aimed at people aged between 17 and 25, includes an interactive game with a variety of prizes to be won, including track drives at Goodwood in a Ferrari, £50 petrol vouchers, Nintendo Wiis and soft drink vouchers to encourage nominated drivers on nights out.
Launching the website coincides with an ongoing campaign on speeding and its consequences. In the New Year issues to be addressed are mobile devices and seatbelts.
GMC Car Leasing is actively promoting the message to thousands of clients across West Sussex. Gary Shapland, general manager, said: "We deliver more than 1,000 lease cars every year and I feel it is important for us to remind our customers to think about how they drive.
"It is inevitable with a client base as large as ours, we do get involved with the aftermath of such accidents and you have to ask yourself could it have been prevented. The truth of the fact is, yes, it probably could have been."
Any young person aged 17 to 25 or older is asked to visit
