Three vehicle crash near Albourne

ONE person was seriously injured when three cars collided on a country lane between Henfield and Albourne.

One vehicle caught fire and firefighters spent more than an hour trying to free a patient after the crash on the B2116.

Three people, one with serious injuries, were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

A Volvo, a Ford Puma and a Renault Clio were involved in the crash, which happened just after 6pm last night (Tuesday, November 18) and closed the road for four hours.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999.
